I am sorry for your loss. My name is Tom Gallagher. I was sent a copy of Robert's obituary by my cousin Mrs. Dolly Hoffman. She was trying to set up a meeting between me and Robert. I think I may be a cousin of yours. I am the family historian. Although I know extensively about grandmothers side of the family I know very little about my grandfather, John Gallagher. Can you help me fill in the blanks? My email address is thomas_gallagher4@aol.com

I was fortunate as a young architect to intern with ECH&H, which coincided with the time of Bob's retirement. He was a generous teacher and mentor, and I had great respect for his talent and career achievements. I will remember his kindness and humor always. He taught me many things which I now carry with me in my own career. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Although I did not have the pleasure of meeting him, I am lucky enough to be a close friend of one of his many pride and joy's, Tish (Britt). He lives on in her kindness, generosity and wit and he should rest peacefully knowing she and her other siblings will carry on his legacy for a long time to come. Heaven got a good one, for sure. I wish the family peace and send lots of love from Charlotte, NC.

Tishie et al, Unk treated everyone like they were family whether we were closely related or not. With clear eyed vision he could speak to one's heart on all matters closest to home. May God give him Heaven. Jim McKeown Cicero, New York
