To the Haggerty Family, It's never easy to find the right words when we lose a loved one. With Jimmy, it's no different. He was one of those that I went to school with from start to finish. I have so many great memories of growing up with him. Getting in trouble together seemed to come naturally to us. I've been away from PA for almost half of my life now, but I treasure the hours I spent with Jimmy back in August of 2007 at our high school reunion. He was so easy to talk to and trade stories with. We laughed and smiled a lot that night back in 2007. He always seemed to be on the verge of a huge laugh! That is how I will remember Jimmy and those memories will live on. I know he will be missed.

I grew up with Jimmy, and haven't said enough about all thes great friends from back home that I'm losing. I'll start now. The memories are too great and numerous to pick favorites, so I'll speak of the man's character. In all the years that I knew James P, I never met a single person who didn't like him. That trait alone may be common, but to possess that trait, and still remain true to yourself, and who you are, and still speak your mind is a great gift not just to him but to all of us who had the honor to know him. Even today, if you could show me one person who didn't like Jimmy, I'd give em 100 bucks! But I wouldn't believe that person anyway. I'm not sure what you call this gift, but I think it's Charisma. Jimmy was loved by all, and I don't feel sorry for him because he's sure to be loved on the other side as well. I'm sorry for the rest of us that will have to live on without a great man like this! He's probably throwing horseshoes with some of the Good Ole Boys from our town on the other side. Cheers Jimmy! Look forward to having a beer with you when I get there! Steve
