Hey Aunt D, I'd be sending this poem to you today. It feels too soon for your eternal (38 year old) sun to set. The light you shared was always bright and beautiful, scorching hot, and life stirring. I'll never forget your strength, your willingness to share. I'll remember you in the fall when football starts, late at night when I reach for the potato chips, when I shuffle a card deck and struggle through pinochle. If I'm stuck or frozen, I'll think of you charging ahead through the flames and gain courage. I think of you resting freely in heaven, laughing and loving with those you've been missing. Thank you for spending time here with us. I love you, (little) Theresa Bloom by Kirli Saunders Plant your feet like roots next to mine. Bloom alongside me. Like leaf and vine, our tangled bodies will always chase the sun.

Dorothy was a beautiful soul with a vibrant and very active life! She was a caring, empathetic woman wanting to know how you were, what was happening in your life and what you could be more involved with. She dearly loved all her family and her Irish roots. She raised funds for scholarships, her church, and the library. She loved a good game of pinochle and loved spending time with her friends. I knew her because she was my mom's best friend. She came to visit us often with treats and taking us out for ice cream. Dorothy had an inquisitive mind and was open to new technology. She adored her children and grandchildren, niece's and nephews and always welcomed everyone with open arms. I for one will miss hearing her voice, seeing her on facetime, and sharing my grandsons on facetime with her. I will still talk to her but she won't be answering me except in my mind and heart. Know that you will always be loved, Dorothy!
