Carl was my science teacher when I attended the Abington Middle school back in the mid 70s. He was always upbeat and really treated us with respect. What a wonderful teacher. On the last day of one of the school years, he told us in passing that he painted houses over the summer months in case our parents were interested. It was perfect timing. I told my Dad and within two weeks Carl was on the job. I couldn't wait to see him arrive each day. He let me hang out as he worked and we talked quite a bit about school, work ethic, and life in general. He made me laugh and I really enjoyed his company for those two weeks. I realize now at age 50 what a gentleman he was way back then. All the best to his family. Casey Lawrence Yardley, PA
