I'm sorry for the loss of such a good man and artist. My parents, two sisters and I all had the honor of having Mr. Hakim for an art teacher. He was funny, creative, smart, and eccentric in the best way. He encouraged students to be creative and eccentric and he made the world more colorful.

I had Mr. Hakim for Art at Solomon in 1999. He was the best. He was one of the reasons I love painting today. I’m so sorry to his family and friends for the loss.

Kelly and family so sorry about your dad he was a wonderful person and a great teacher. I have so many memories being in his art class, a lot of laughs with your dad. He was the type of teacher that kept you on track and cared about you. May he rest in peace and be with the angels. Michelle Mushinski Plymouth PA

Im so sorry for your family’s loss. Mr. Hakim was my art teacher in 7th and 8th grade. He made an impact on me as I also loved art. His sense of humor was the best! Big Bertha, needing 2 sharpened pencils, the gum jar, the stop light, drawing our own shoe, and never give your original art work (make a copy!) are just some of the memories I’ll never forget about him. My prayers go out to your family.
