Yolanda L. Westfield, 95 of Kingston, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 19, 2023 at Allied Services Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Born in Plains, PA on September 30, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Nora (Fillippini) Verdini.

Yolanda was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. Yolanda was employed as a Bridal Consultant for Zimmerman’s of Wilkes-Barre and was formerly the Buck Township Tax Collector, and served on the former Buck Township School Board as Secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank T. Westfield on March 7 2008, sister Elizabeth Bempkins and brother Ralph Verdini.

Surviving are her brother Angelo Verdini, New Haven, Conn., nieces and cousins.

Yolanda’s family would like to thank the aides and staff of Allied Services for the wonderful care and compassion given to Yolanda.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 10:15 am at the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, 339 North Maple Avenue, Kingston, PA 18704. Inurnment will be held in the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming, PA. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
