William Anthony Kashula, 83 of Plains Township, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 12, 2022 at River View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Plains.

Born on September 9, 1939 in Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Joseph & Nellie (Niemiec) Kashula.

Bill was a graduate of Nanticoke High School, and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving from 1959 to 1963, attaining the rank of Airman 2nd Class. Upon his honorable discharge from active service, he was employed as a 1st Class Lineman with PPL, retiring after 31 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph and James Kashula.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Elizabeth Ann Eget, Plains, daughters Jacqueline Zimmer and her husband Chuck, Lima, NY, and Elizabeth Kashula and her husband Tom Kobusky, Plains, grandchildren William Charles Zimmer, III, and Samantha Ann Stevens and her husband Avarie, sister Marlene Dickshinski, TN, 1 niece, 1 nephew.

Funeral Services with Military Honors accorded by the United States Air Force and the Plains American Legion, Joseph E. Conlon, Post 558, will be held Monday evening, October 17, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
