Willard R. Rollins, 85 of Exeter, passed away Sunday morning, February 5, 2023 at Kingston Healthcare Center, Kingston, PA.

Born January 8, 1938 in Poquoson, Virginia, he was the son of the late Norman and Lillian (Robertson) Rollins.

Willard Attended Poquoson High School, Poquoson, VA, and was an Air Force Veteran for nine years and an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Willard was employed as a maintenance man and foreman at Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry-Dock, Newport News, Virginia, until his retirement.

Willard was a member and Lay Minister at Shoemaker United Methodist Church, West Wyoming, and currently a member of Dorranceton United Methodist Church, Kingston. Willard would minister residents at local nursing homes and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Kingston, where he served as Past Commander. Family was most important to Willard, and second was his love and passion for woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Angella Rollins on June 17, 2019, and his sister Norma Audrey Brown.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, the former Theonora Calkins, Exeter, daughters Lucille Shankle and her husband Robert, Gloucester, VA, and Cindylou Young and her husband Samuel, West Palm Beach, FL, grandchildren Robert Shankle and his fiancée Victoria, Matthew Shankle and his fiancée Aly, Natalie Chute and her husband Chase, Timothy Young and his wife Kaylee, and Logan Young, great-grandchildren Noah, Spencer, Rylee, Valerie, and Rhett Shankle, and Kai Chute, sister Camilla Hogge and her husband Winfred, Hayes, VA, several nieces, nephews, special friends and his special buddy and service dog, Rascals.

Funeral Services for Willard with Military Honors accorded by the United States Army and the Plains American Legion Military Honors Detail will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at Dorranceton United Methodist Church, 549 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, PA 18704, with Rev. Thomas Swingle, Pastor, officiating.

Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children´s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
