Tullio Joseph Gelsomini, 95, of Laflin, passed away January 9, 2023 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, PA.

Born in Gaifana, Perugia, Italy in 1927, he was the son of the late Rinaldo and Adelaide (Centini) Gelsomini. He arrived in the U.S. at two years old. He was raised in Plains Township and was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church in Laflin, PA.

Tullio was an avid gardener, art lover, skier and traveler. He will be remembered as a loving grandparent, adored father, father-in-law, brother and friend.

Tullio is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Iole (Chini) Gelsomini; son, Silvio Gelsomini; daughter-in-law, Laura Kelly Gelsomini; granddaughter; Ava Gelsomini; sister, Tina Dominick and her daughters Lea Nordstrom and Marla White.

A private service will be held at St. Maria Goretti Church in Laflin, PA with Father Paul McDonnell, officiating. Interment will be at the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming, PA. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
