Thomas J. McGettigan, 54 of Wilkes-Barre, and formerly of Plains Township, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at his home.

Born in Plains, he was the son of the late Daniel P. “Spades” and Elizabeth M. (Seprish) McGettigan, Sr.

Tommy attended James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed as a plumber.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Daniel McGettigan, Jr., on July 14, 2004.

Surviving are his son Brandon McGettigan, Spokane, Washington, granddaughter Kaleigh, brother James McGettigan and his wife Karen, Georgia, and sister Michelle McGettigan and her wife Mandy, Hanover Twp.

Funeral services with inurnment will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plains, PA 18705, with Tommy’s cousin, Father John C. Lambert, officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705.
