A special person has rejoined her family in heaven. Theresa Azzalini, 86, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 18, 2017 under the loving care of Hampton House and Heartland Hospice.

The only child of Peter and Yolanda Azzalini she lost her mother at 8 months of age. Peter remarried Mary Conti who devoted her life to caring for Theresa.

In her youth Theresa enjoyed flowers, music, attending Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Luzerne and especially baking for the Altar & Rosary Society. After Mary’s death Theresa attended Day Development and enjoyed her time there.

We are grateful for the care of David & Kathy Schweizer, Norma Pavelitz, Courtdale United Methodist Women and the dedicated staff of Hampton House and Heartland Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church, 574 Bennett St. Luzerne, followed by interment in Dennison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in Holy Family Church.
