Susan Jill Chapin, 61 of Hunlock Creek, went to rest on April 30, 2016 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, surrounded by the love of her family after a two week illness. Her loving husband of 43 years, Mike Chapin, was by her side since they were twelve years old, right to the end.

Sue loved to be with her husband Mike, whether it was building onto their home or sitting on their porch watching the hummingbirds. They did everything together. Sue loved to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was the best mother and Gema anyone could ask for.

Sue was a graduate of Meyers High School and was a 29 year employee of the Wilkes-Barre Area School District before retiring in March 2016.

Sue will be forever loved and remembered by her loving family who she lived for every day. Her best friend and husband Mike Chapin, son Michael Chapin and his wife Kristin, Glenside, PA, son Matthew Chapin and his partner Megan, Philadelphia, daughter Jill Chapin Milunic and her husband Mike, Hanover Twp. In addition to her husband and children, Sue will forever be remembered by the lights of her life, grandsons Aidan and Conor Chapin, and granddaughter Quinn Milunic.

Sue will also live on in her sisters Patricia O’Donnell, Sally Richards, and Deborah Goodman, mother-in-law Ann Chapin, as well as numerous brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Sue lived for her husband and family. She touched many peoples’ lives, whether it was within her family or at work. Sue always brought her honesty, light and laughter anywhere she went. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Margaret Davis, Sister Margaret Czyzewski, father-in-law Charles Chapin and niece Kristy Czyzewski.

In respect of her wishes, a private celebration of her life will be held at a later time. Funeral arrangements by the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705.
