Obituaries » Stanley "Rick" Malinowski July 14, 1951 - August 26, 2017 Service Date: August 31, 2017 Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home Inc Stanley “Rick” Malinowski, 66, of Harding raised in the Hilldale section of Plains, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the inpatient unit of Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Rick was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School and attended Wilkes University. Notably known as proprietor of Nonno Lini’s Restaurant. He also owned several small businesses throughout his career and ended with many years in sales. He was an active member of St. John the Evangelist (Pittston) where he served as Eucharistic Minister. His faith in God helped him in his battle against cancer giving him courage in accepting his sufferings. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Adam and Stella Malinowski and maternal grandparents Celeste and Nancy Lini. Surviving are his parents Stanley “Stuz” and Sadie (Lini) Malinowski, devoted wife Mary Theresa (Loftus), children, Richard and wife Holly, Scott and wife Aggie, Max, and Mollie Santarelli and husband Brad, grandchildren, Richard, Alex, Tiffani, Gabriella, Justin, Paige, Mia and Brad Jr. and one great granddaughter Brooke, sister Nancy Lee Sidlovsky. The family wishes to thank all caregivers at the oncology department of Geisinger Scranton, and Heartland Hospice and Celtic Inpatient Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 31, at 11:00 am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston, PA 18640. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call at St. John’s the Evangelist Church from 9:30 am until the time of mass on Thursday.
