Scott B. Richards

Scott B. Richards, 48 of Nanticoke, passed away Tuesday evening, January 23, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, PA.

Born on August 19, 1975 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Bruce and Catherine (Phillips) Richards of Laurel Run.

Scott was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, Class of 1994 and was employed as a machine technician and maintenance tech team leader at Proctor and Gamble, Mehoopany.

Scott’s happy place was fishing for catfish on the Susquehanna River.  His favorite catfish were Flatheads, he loved “pulling up them 40 pounders.”  Scott was also a dedicated Alabama fan. ROLL TIDE. He was so very loved and will be dearly missed forever.

Surviving in addition to his parents Bruce and Cathy, are his son Brendan Richards, Glen Lyon, daughter Maci Lynn Richards, Nanticoke, brother Matthew Richards and his wife Jennifer, and nephews Matthew and Tyler, Dallas, Matteo Plantamura and Noah Boneforte, Nanticoke.

Funeral arrangements were private and held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.
