Rosemarie “Rorey” Magnotta of Duryea, passed away gracefully at dawn at her home on Thursday, October 22, 2015.

Rorey was born in Hanover on September 29, 1960 to the late Richard and Rosemarie (Stock) Evans.

She was a graduate of Hanover Area High School and Luzerne County Community School of Nursing, and was employed as an Emergency Room Nurse for Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston until its closing and last employed until her illness for Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. Rorey and her husband Michael celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary on February 9, 2015.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Brother Richard Evans, III.

Surviving in addition to her husband Michael are her daughter Lindsey Parrish Race and her husband David, Duryea; son Airman Matthew Cimini, USAF, McGuire AFB, N.J., grandchildren, David III, Hannah Rose and Dylan Race; sisters, Patti Krivak and her husband Tom, Moosic, and Cathie Fetterman and her husband Bill, Dallas, several special nieces and nephews, Godchild and loving caregiver, Terri Rovinski and Micah.

A Celebration of Rorey’s Life will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705, with Chaplin Grace Taylor, officiating. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends and family may call Saturday afternoon, October 31, 2015 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
