Rita R. Weaver, 87, of Kingston, passed away Thursday morning, June 14, 2018 at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Swoyersville, Rita was the daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Freeman) Lavelle.

Rita attended Kingston High School and was employed for Pierce Drug of Kingston until her retirement. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston.

She was preceded in death by her Daughter Carol Downey and Sisters, Frances Doran and Madeline Wilson.

Surviving are her Daughter, Lynn Tracy and her husband Sean, Edwardsville, Sister Dorothy Kosmala, Kingston, son-in-law Willian Downey, Kingston.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, at 9:45 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc. 20 South Main Street Plains with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Ignatius Church, Kingston. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery Plains. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 5 to 7 pm.

In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations if desired may be made to St. Ignatius Church, 339 North Maple Ave. Kingston, Pa. 18704.
