Richard D. Hine, 25 of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center after becoming ill at his home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Jeffrey Hine and Rosalie Chismar of Wilkes-Barre.

Richie was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 2014 and was employed as a retread technician at McCarthy Tires, Wilkes-Barre.

Richie was the Vice-President and one of the founders of the Tri State Panthers (car club) and attended many of the Philly Panther Meets (car group). His life truly revolved around all of his cars/trucks and the brothers he gained from the car club and car scene.

Richie carried his heart on his sleeve and he would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed. He became a friend to anyone who crossed his path. He was a hardworking, wonderful young man taken way too early from this world, leaving a large empty space in a lot of lives. He was a truly AMAZING son, brother, nephew, uncle, boyfriend and friend. Always the light of our lives, he was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to his parents Jeff and Rosalie are his sister Rachel Hine, nieces Alivia and Amelia Supinski, and his girlfriend, Lianna Lefkoski, uncles, aunts and many friends.

Funeral services for Richie will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with Deacon Donald Crane, officiating. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Those attending the visitation and/or funeral service, casual dress is encouraged in keeping with Richie’s spirit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Epilepsy Foundation 3540 Crain Highway, Suite 675, Bowie, MD 20716 or to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 in Richie’s name.
