Horan, 57 of Kingston, passed away Saturday evening, September 17, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Plains Township on September 26, 1964, he was the son of the late William and Theresa (Kaczinski) Horan. Mike was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1982 and Penn State University, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. He was employed as a licensed electrician, working part time at Bittner Sunrooms, and Additions, Dallas, PA, and doing side work for his many friends and relatives. Mike was also employed as Tipstaff for the Honorable David W. Lupas, his lifelong friend. Mike was a member of the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Kingston, the Knights of Columbus, and a former member of the Plains Rotary Club. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy Football Fan, an avid Penn State Football Fan, where he was a season ticket holder for the past 22 years, was an avid fisherman and loved bass fishing and kayaking on the river and his yearly trips to Canada. Surviving are his wife Lisa Gardner, Kingston, step-son Austin Gardner, Annapolis, Maryland, step-daughter Samantha Gardner, Scottsdale, Arizona, brother William Horan and his wife Nancy, Bear Creek, sister Susan Davis and her husband Thomas, Kingston, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephew. Funeral will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 9:45 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 am at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, 339 N. Maple Avenue, Kingston, PA 18704, with Father Shawn M. Simchock, officiating. Entombment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E.
