Mary E. O’Brien

Mary E. O’Brien, 78 of Inkerman, PA, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 31, 2024 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born on August 12, 1945 in Jenkins Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lehman and Alice (Gatch) Hall.

Mary was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and was employed at Wesley Village, Jenkins Twp., for many years, until her retirement.  She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Ernest, Phillip, and Robert Aksomitis, and Francis Hall.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Terrance E. O’Brien, Inkerman, sons Terry O’Brien and his wife Liz, Throop, Kenny O’Brien and his wife Lisa, Arizona, and Phil O’Brien, Inkerman, grandchildren Rory, Conor, Sofia, and Olivia, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston, PA  18640 in Mary’s memory.
