Mary A. Benzi, 76, of Mountain Top, PA, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 18, 2021 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, with her family at her side.

Born in the Hilldale section of Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late John and Victoria (Pientka) Krincek.

Mary was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains, Class of 1963, and was employed for Krincek Catering Business “KOZY K”. She also worked for Joan Dress, Plains, Empire Dress and for the last 20 years at the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare until her retirement.

Mary was a member of St. Jude Parish, Mountain Top, devoted to the Blessed Mother and the Rosary and was very charitable.

Mary loved baking and cooking, sewing and crocheting, concerts, cruses, bus tours and all genres of music. She was honored with a plaque for donating 30 gallons of life saving blood.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Edward, Stanley, John, Joseph, Francis and Vincent Krincek, sisters Angela Stelligo and infant Sister Joanne.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years Elvio Benzi, children Diane and Michael Benzi, all of Mountain Top, sister Ann Koulik and her husband Chester, Plains, several nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Jude Parish, 420 South Mountain Boulevard, Mountain Top, PA 18707. All those attending Mass are asked to go directly to Church and are asked to wear face masks, regardless of vaccination status. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Family and friends may call Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc. 20 South Main Street Plains. All are asked to wear masks at the viewing.

Memorial donations if desired may be made to St. Jude Children´s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
