Marilyn Elizabeth Fahey, 67 of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, and formerly of Raleigh, NC, passed away peacefully Monday morning, September 18, 2023 at the Meadows Manor, Dallas, PA, with her husband and daughter at her side. Born on December 1, 1955 in Kingston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Marion E. (Fisher) Makowski. Marilyn was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1974 and was a member service representative at the State Employees Credit Union in Raleigh, North Carolina for 20 years. She was also employed at Inter Metro Industries as a data processor for 25 years. Marilyn loved Jesus, longed to share his Faithfulness and Blessings with everyone that she could daily. Her faith was unbreakable. She enjoyed helping others and did counseling through Hospice and Stephen Ministries. She loved the beach, spending time traveling with her husband, crafting diamond art, music, and her cat Lily. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Michelle (Fahey) Panaway on November 1, 2013. She longed for the day that she could be reunited with her precious child. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Michael J. Fahey, Dallas, daughter Kristen (Fahey) McCartney and her husband Shawn, Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, grandchildren Eric and Megan Panaway, brother James Makowski and his wife Nancy, Mechanicsburg, PA, sister Lori Liparula and her husband Richard, Dallas, nieces and nephews. Marilyn’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Meadows Manor, Dallas, and Compassionate Care Hospice for the wonderful care given to Marilyn. Funeral Services for Marilyn will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 at 4:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with Pastor Jack Rehill, Assistant Pastor of Back Mountain Harvest Church, officiating. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meadows Manor, 200 Lake Street, Dallas, PA 18612 or to the Back Mountain Harvest Church, 340 Carverton Road, Trucksville, PA 18708 in Marilyn’s memory.Marilyn E.
