Marie Degnon, 83 of Laflin, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 30, 2017 at The Gardens at East Mountain, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Alden, she was the daughter of the late Vladimir and Anna (Bugel) Konstantinovich.

Marie was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre and was self-employed as a travel agent. She was owner/operator of Royal Travel, Wilkes-Barre, until her retirement. Marie and her late husband, Jerry, loved to travel. Their favorite place to cruise was to Bermuda.

She was a member of the Eastern Travel Agents Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Gerald “Jerry” Degnon, on September 13, 2017, Brother John Konstantinovich, Sister Natalie Syms, and son-in-law Rudy Georgetti.

Surviving are his children, Patti Leonard and her husband Mike, Shavertown; Michele Georgetti, Dallas; David Degnon and his wife Courtenay, Clark Summit, and Jerry Degnon, Exeter; grandchildren, Nicholas Leonard, VMD, Ashlee Berry, DPT and her husband Kelly, Rudy and Ryan Georgetti, and Sydney and Kyle Degnon, great-grandson, Joseph Berry.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11:30 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with Rev. David Shewczyk, Pastor of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre, officiating. Interment will be held in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. Family and friends may call Thursday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of service at 11:30 am.
