Lynn E. Mancini, 67 of Laflin, passed away Saturday evening, March 11, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Wilkes Barre on June 22, 1955 to the late Elaine (Knorr) Billings of Surprise, AZ and the late Albert C. Billings of Mountain Top, PA.

Lynn attended Crestwood High School and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1973. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Luzerne County Community College with an Associate Degree in Business Administration in 1998.

She was employed as a Notary Public, working for RCA Corp., the Social Security Administration, Rural Health Administration, John Hancock Life Insurance Company, and retired due to illness from Honeywell Corp. She was a democratic committee person for Plains Twp.

Lynn was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin and taught Vacation Bible School, volunteered for their phone network, and sang in their choir when able. She also volunteered at Blue Chip Animal Refuge, doing computer work for them. Lynn was a member of several online Lupus and Autoimmune support groups and is survived by a group of friends there.

She is survived by her daughter Melissa L. Mancini, Summerville, SC, Fiancé Bernard G. Sisko, Laflin, brother Brian D. Billings, Dallas, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 9:30 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin, PA 18702. The Parish Rosary Group will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary in the Church 30 minutes before the Mass. All are invited to attend. Interment will be held in Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top, PA. Family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to The Lupus Foundation of America, The Lupus Research Institute, Blue Chip Animal Refuge, or The Tree of Life at St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin, PA.
