Colarusso, 93 of Plains Township, passed away Tuesday morning, January 9, 2024 at The Gardens at East Mountain, Plains, PA, with her family by her side. Born in the Keystone section of Plains, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Angeline (Micheletti) Recchioni. Lydia was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1948 and was employed as a seamstress in the area garment factories until her retirement. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains, and the I.L.G.W.U. Lydia loved to clean and kept her home immaculate. Heaven will now be a little cleaner thanks to Lydia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Colarusso on June 15, 2019 and her sister Antoinette Pascucci on April 23, 2021. Surviving are her daughters Denise Allegrucci and her husband Gary, Drums, and Jolene Gonsky and her husband Dr. Michael E. Gonsky, Stroudsburg, grandchildren Gary Allegrucci, Jr. and his wife Emily, Kaitlyn Kucuk and her husband Tommy, Ashley Gonsky-Olen and her husband Jeremy, and Michael T. Gonsky, great-grandchildren Joey, Charlie, and Tommy Allegrucci, Mila and Ella Kucuk, and Charlotte and Gabrielle Olen, 2 nieces. Lydia’s daughters and family would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff at The Gardens at East Mountain for the wonderful care given to Lydia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. A live stream of the funeral mass will be on the parish FACEBOOK page. Entombment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming. Family and friends may call Friday morning from 9:00 am until the time of mass at church. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
