Lucy M. Monte, 86 of Wyoming, passed away Thursday evening, March 23, 2017 at the United Methodist Homes, Wesley Village Campus, Jenkins Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Nazzaro and Leonarda (Potenza) Monte.

Lucy was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed as an inspector for RCA/Trion Industries, until her retirement.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, for many years, and currently a member of St. Barbara’s Parish, Exeter.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Emanuella Bernardo, Katherine Mullay, Joseph Monte and Nofrio “Sonny” Monte.

Surviving are her sisters Angie Sigmond, Luzerne, and Mary Viccica, West Wyoming, nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 9:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Barbara’s Parish/St. Anthony of Padua’s Church, 28 Memorial Street, Exeter, PA 18643, with Father Michael E. Finn, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial donation may be made to St. Barbara’s Church.
