Lois C. Isopi, 79 of Mountain Top, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 16, 2022 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre Township, she was the daughter of the late William and Susan (Drozda) Palute.

Lois was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township High School, Class of 1961 and was employed at JC Penny as an associate for many years.  She was a member of St. Jude Parish, Mountain Top, and volunteered working the voting polls at Fairview Township.  Lois was an avid gardener and reader,  and loved to attend field hockey games.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis R. Isopi on September 25, 2018.

Surviving are her children Lynne Isopi and her husband Ted Booth, Quakertown, Gary Isopi and his wife Susan, Hanover Township, and Danielle Cole and her husband Christopher, Nuangola, grandchildren Casey Cole, and Nico and Zayden Isopi, sisters Elaine Cawley, Hanover Township, and Diane Moser, Kingston, sister-in-law Lorraine Policare, Newtown, PA, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Jude Parish, 420 South Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, PA  18707.  Those attending the funeral services, please go directly to church Monday morning.  Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.  Family and friends may call Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children´s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Lois’ name.
