Leonard Stanley Firmanty, 91, peacefully passed from this world on Tuesday January 26, 2022.

Born May 2, 1930 to the late John Firmanty and Helen Krupinski Firmanty.

Len was an avid Penn State Football fan. He loved baseball, golf, animals and fudge brownies. He was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. After an honorable discharge Len worked in Philadelphia for Philco-Ford as a printer. Upon his retirement from Philco-Ford Len returned to his roots in Glen Lyon.

Len was preceded in death by his father, John Firmanty, mother Helen Krupinski Firmanty, sister Louise Firmanty Vance, brother-in-law Anthony D. Vance and niece Sharon Vance.

Len is survived by nephews Anthony John Vance (Mary) of Virginia, Ronald Joseph Vance (Carol) of New Mexico, great-niece Kerri Vance Wagner (Brandon) of Connecticut, great-nephews Anthony E. Vance , Richard Z. Vance, Michael J. Fleck and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephew, all of Connecticut.

He will be deeply missed by his caretakers and cousin, Debbie and Jim Gavin, golfing buddy Mary Kashatus, the Clampets and all that knew him.

A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705.

Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter.
