Kimberly Rynkiewicz
October 16, 2023

Kimberly Rynkiewicz, of Mountain Top, passed away peacefully Monday morning, October 16, 2023 at Allied Hospice after a terminal fight with cancer. Kim was courageous and forever optimistic throughout her illness.

Kimberly was born in Plains, PA, daughter of the late John and Rose Mary (Novak) Swaditch. She was married to Robert Rynkiewicz, in which they would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on November 7th.

Kimberly attended Saint Peter and Paul Grade School, Plains, and graduated from James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1985, where she excelled in the Championship Swim Team. Kimberly worked for Fabri-Kal for many years and then followed her dream of becoming a business owner of DLiteMakeScents and Country Mountain Dips.

Kimberly loved her vacations to the beaches of South Carolina but most of all she was a devoted wife, mother and Nana to her three grandchildren, Kenalyn, Kalena, and Troy Stanco. Her world revolved around them and they brought her so much joy and happiness.

Our hearts are heavy today but we wouldn’t trade the last days she got to spend with us especially her sister-in-law, Tammy Ioanna.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dearly beloved son Robert John Rynkiewicz, Jr., whom she forever longed to be reunited with.

Surviving to her addition to her husband Robert are her daughter, Jessica Stanco and her husband Jerry, Mountaintop, grandchildren Kenalyn, Kalena, and Troy and her devoted sister Mary Parada of Plains, brothers, sisters, and in-laws, several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Kimberly’s family would like to offer a special thanks to the Oncology Nurses and Case Managers at Geisinger Hospital and Allied Hospice Nurses and Aides.

Funeral Services for Kimberly will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 at 12:30 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Private family inurnment will be held in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday morning from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at the funeral home.
