Joseph J. Cicierski, III

September 26, 2023

Joseph John Cicierski, III, 58 of Harding, PA passed away peacefully September 26, 2023 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA with his loving wife Lori (Woods) by his side.

Born September 17, 1965, Joe was the son of Barbara (Savage) Cicierski and the late Joseph John Cicierski, Jr. Joe grew up in Plains, PA and attended James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Joe was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences: contractor, electrician, mechanic – he was a jack of all trades and could fix or build anything.

He was the owner and operator of ‘A Hometech Service Company’ which specialized in the repair and installation of Subzero and Wolf appliances.

Joe was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed spending his time putzing around the yard on his golf cart, watching the deer and Canada geese hanging around the yard and river. He was also an avid angler. He loved fishing the Susquehanna River for musky and was a member of several bass fishing clubs including establishing the Northeast Bass Fishing club.

He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them – and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.

In addition to his father Joseph, he was preceded in death by his brother Marc Cea.

Left to remember Joe and share all of his crazy stories and shenanigans are his loving wife Lori (Woods), mother Barbara Cicierski, sister Paula Wick and her husband Carl, brother Jacob Cicierski and his wife Sarah, Cioci Marie Wallace, Cioci Lorraine Pipech and her husband Richard, Uncle Joseph Savage, and several nieces and nephews.   His beloved little buddies Roman and Maggie are left with holes in their doggie hearts.

Joe and Lori and their family will be eternally grateful to Dr. Cassandra Tunis for her unwavering care and support during his long, hard fought, illness. Also to Dr. Julio Ramos for never giving up figuring out what was going on inside Joe. Autoimmune diseases are real.
Special thanks to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, the staff and volunteers who helped make Joe’s final days brighter and more comfortable.

In typical Joe style, there are no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance. He asks everyone to grab an adult beverage of their choice, go sit outdoors, with your music tuned up loud enough to annoy the neighbors, and say a toast to him.  Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.

It was Joe’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive #7, Wilkes-Barre, PA  18702.
