Joseph A. Otway Jr., 72, of Edwardsville, died Wednesday evening, August 3, 2016, at his home.

Born in Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Joseph and Margurite (Snyder) Otway Sr.

Joseph attended Plymouth High School, he was employed as a security guard for Century Security last working for Wilkes-Barre Vo-tech. Joseph was a member of Oak Grove Club of Wilkes-Barre.

He was preceded in death by his Son, Joseph Otway III and Sister Violet Williams.

Surviving are his Sons; Robert Cragle, Glenn Lyon, William Eppley, Larksville, Elvis Eppley, Edwardsville; Daughters, Jo-Ann Smith, Wilkes-Barre, Margurite Karcheski, Wilkes-Barre; Brothers Herbert Otway, Hunlock Creek, Russell Otway, Plymouth Twp., Earl Otway, Laflin, and Sister, Linda Barker, Edwardsville; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Funeral will be held Monday morning at 11 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains. Interment will be held in Bloomingdale Cemetery, Ross Township. Family and friends may call Monday morning 9:00-11:00am at the funeral home.
