Obituaries » Joan Marie Winklbauer (Healy) June 2, 1926 - January 21, 2019 Service Date: January 26, 2019 Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home Inc Cemetery St. Mary s Cemetery Church St. Mary s Church Joan Marie Winklbauer, 92 of Dallas, PA and formerly of Altoona, PA, passed away Monday morning, January 21, 2019 at the Mercy Center, Dallas. Born in Franklin, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Scurry) Healy. Joan was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School, Oil City, PA, and was a homemaker. She was also employed at Western Union and Catholic Child Care Center, both of Altoona. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Altoona, and was a volunteer at St. Vincent’s DePaul, Altoona, for 26 years. She was also a member of the Bavarian Aid Society, a long standing member of the P.T.A. at St. Mary’s School. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband John P. Winklbauer on December 17, 2003. They were married in Oil City, PA on November 18, 1948. Also preceding her in death were her infant daughter Mary Kathleen, son John J. Winklbauer, brothers Robert Healy, John Healy, and Father Patrick Healy, sister Ann Healy Gibson, Rose Healy Luke, and Cecilia Healy Cashdollar. Surviving are her children Peter Winklbauer, St. Mary’s, PA, David Winklbauer, Pinson, Alabama, Lisa Hummel, Dover, Delaware, and Lee Ann Burkhart, Trucksville, PA, grandchildren Jason, Matthew, Alecia, Kailee, Cara, and Danny, great-grandchildren Mahlon and Spicer, sisters Mary Mortimer and Kathleen Murray, both of Oil City, PA, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, 1405 5th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602. Visitation will take place in the church basement from 9:00 am until the time of mass Saturday morning. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Altoona. Memorial donations may be made to Elk County Catholic High School Art Department, 600 Maurus Street, St. Mary’s, PA 15857, or the charity of one’s choice.Joan Marie Winklbauer (Healy)
