Italia “Ethel” Ferraro

Italia “Ethel” Ferraro, 98 of Plains Township, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday evening, August 11, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Pittston, PA on July 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Primo and Ida (Martinelli) Dini.

Ethel attended Plains Memorial High School and was a homemaker all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Rosario “Russ” Ferraro on July 22, 2000, her daughter-in-law Gail Ann Ferraro, and her brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her son Charles Ferraro, Plains, grandchildren Danielle Ferraro, and Jordan Ferraro, great-grandchildren Richard Yurkin, Trevor Yurkin, Koen Ferraro and Maxx Ferraro, great-great-granddaughter Averly Yurkin, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were private and held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705, with interment in the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming.
