After her long, courageous battle with cancer, Esther P. Crossin Liuzzi, 69 of Forty Fort, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 24, 2016, in the company of her loving family.

Born on November 9, 1946 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Eugene M. and Mary (MacKenzie) Crossin. Esther was raised in Kingston, attended West Side Central Catholic High School and later graduated from Geisinger Nursing School in Danville. After working as head nurse at several hospitals, she went on to become Assistant Director of Student Health Services at Northern Virginia Community College. Moving back to the area to be closer to family, she worked as Director of Health Services at Luzerne County Community College from its inception and continued a very admirable career for 27 years until retirement.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary MacKenzie Crossin, and father Eugene M. Crossin.

She is survived by her Sons Michael Angelo Liuzzi, and Anthony Liuzzi, both of Kingston, Brother Eugene Crossin and his wife Marilyn, Shavertown, Sister Maureen Crossin Johns, Kingston, Niece Maureen Johns and Grandniece Mary Jean Johns, Hanover Township.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705.
