Elizabeth “Betty” Janerich, 88 of Plains Township, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Denver, Colorado.

Born in the Hudson section of Plains, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Alice (Trotter) Nelson.

Betty was employed as an examiner for Leslie Fay of Plains and was a Foster Grandparent for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church Plains, until its closure and merger. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of SS. Peter & Paul Church, Plains.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank on February 17, 1985.

Surviving are her daughter Carol Podrasky, Lakewood, Colorado, grandsons Robert Podrasky, Frank Podrasky and his wife Danielle, both of Lakewood, Colorado, great-grandchildren Ashley Laymon, Kyle Podrasky, and Christina Perkins, sister Joan Lewin, Plains, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Betty will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Interment will be held in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Friday afternoon from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
