Donald “Ducky” Dunsmuir

Donald “Ducky” Dunsmuir, 63 of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday morning, December 15, 2015 at the inpatient unit of Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Plains, he was the son of the late David and Rita (Blakeslee) Dunsmuir.

He was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, class of 1970, and was employed for the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital as a carpenter.

Ducky was an avid NASCAR fan with Danny Hamlin being his favorite driver. He was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies and the Minnesota Vikings fan.

He was preceded in death by his Brother, Billy Dunsmuir, Sisters, Marion “Sissy” Tregaskis, Ann Cease and Rita “Babe” Luse.

Surviving are his daughter Amy Campbell and her husband Keith, Courtdale, grandchildren Christopher and Elizabeth, Brothers and Sisters; David Dunsmuir and wife Rose, Plains, Joan Smith and her husband Gary, Forty Fort, Jean Elick and her husband Ron, Lansdale, Shirley Baird and her husband William, Plymouth, Margaret Augustaitus and her husband Leo, Wilkes-Barre Thomas Dunsmuir and his wife Kathy, Plains, Bobby Dunsmuir and his wife Nancy, Wilkes-Barre and John Dunsmuir, Wyoming, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday evening, December 17, 2014 at 6:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, Pa., with Rev. Dick Williams, Pastor of the Trucksville United Methodist Church, Officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home.
