Obituaries » Dolores D'Alessandro (Mangione) March 30, 1930 - July 1, 2021 Service Date: July 7, 2021 Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home Inc Cemetery Italian Independent Cemetery Dolores Rose D’Alessandro (Mangione) 91, a resident of Wesley Village and formerly of Wyoming, passed away Thursday evening, July 1st, 2021. She joined her husband and sweetheart Joe who waited patiently for her since 2018. They were married for 70 years. Dolores was born in Yatesville, and raised in the Hilldale section of Plains Twp. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Travarelli) Mangione. Dolores was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1947. She graduated from Wyoming Seminary Business School in 1948. Nothing meant more to Dolores that the love of her family and friends. She was an amazing cook and mother. Dolores was always at the ready to help in anyway possible. Her recipes and entertaining skills well live on in all that had the distinct pleasure of sitting at her table. She was a member of St. Barbara’s Parish Exeter. Throughout her life she spent quality time with Joe and their friends on their Friday night pizza dinners. She supported her children selflessly throughout their lives, always at the ready to support them in their endeavors. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Joseph D’Alessandro in 2018. Surviving are her daughter, Ellen Maher and her husband Frank, Wyoming, sons Kristen D’Alessandro and Suzanne Satkowski, Fayetteville, N.C., and Joseph D’Alessandro and his wife Cindy, West Pittston; grandchildren, Kaitlin Alba and her husband Anthony, Jonathan Maher, Kristy and Dominick D’Alessandro; sister, Theresa Mikelski, Plains, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 9:30 am at St. Barbara’s Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial Street, Exeter, PA 18643, with Father Michael E. Finn, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 8:30 am until the time of mass at church. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 340 Montage Mountain Road, Moosic, PA 18507 in Dolores’ name.Dolores D'Alessandro (Mangione)
