Dianne Colleran, 69 of Kingston, PA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, May 27, 2023.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on July 13, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Bertha (Halapi) Lucas.

Dianne was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1972 and was employed as a sales assistant at Boscov’s, Hills, and Ames Department stores until her retirement.

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception, Wilkes-Barre, where she served as a Eucharist Minister and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen, Wilkes-Barre. Dianne also volunteered at the church’s clothing bank, was an organizer of the annual Book Bag Giveaway and the Children’s Toy Drive.

She was preceded in death by her husband Francis T. “Frank” Colleran, Sr. on July 19, 2015, brother Robert Lucas, and her son-in-law Robert J. Jugus, Jr.

Surviving are her daughters Sandra Jugus, Edwardsville, and Tracie Colleran, Luzerne, son Francis Colleran, Jr., Edwardsville, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her special dog and companion, Leigha.

Funeral will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 9:30 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception, 134 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA, with Father Joseph Verespy, Pastor, officiating. Inurnment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township, at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
