Denise (Meyer) Atcavage, 75 of Plymouth, passed away Tuesday morning, May 31, 2022, at Kingston Health Care Center.

Born in Wilkes Barre, she was the daughter of Melvin & Kathryn (Snee) Meyer.

She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Wilkes-Barre, and College Misericordia. Denise worked as a special education teacher, ran her own catering business and retired from the Catherine McAuley House.

In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by her husband, Louis and sister, Lorraine Flynn.

She is survived by her children, Anna (David) Carter and Louis Atcavage; her pride & joy, granddaughter, Piper Merritt & her mother, Kristin; her brothers, Melvin, James, and Thomas Meyer; sisters, Marianne Hornik, Geraldine Gallagher, and Teresita Shovlin; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Denise’s Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
