David J. Albert

David J. Albert, 67 of Wyoming, PA, passed away Monday evening, September 11, 2023 at his home.

Born on May 28, 1956 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony J. and Rita T. (Markowski) Albert.

David was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed as a steel worker at Bloomsburg Metal Company.  The company was Co-Founded by his grandfather Joseph Albert and passed down to his father Anthony Albert. David was proud to work side by side with his dad.

He was a member of St. Anthony/St. George Maronite Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre, the Wyoming Valley Bowling Association, V.F.W., Wyoming, and the Polish American Veterans, Plains.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Nancy Evaskitis, Wyoming, son David Albert and his companion Adrienne Wallace, Nanticoke, his grandchildren who he loved dearly, Preston and Penelope, brothers Bruce Albert and his wife Judie, Wyomissing, PA and Tony Albert and his wife Karen, Hudson section of Plains, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 15, 2023 at St. Anthony/St. George Maronite Catholic Church, 315 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA, with Father Adib Salameh, officiating.  Inurnment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.  Family and friends may call Friday morning from 10:00 am until the time of mass at church.  Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
