Clara Margaret Cinti, 97, longtime resident of Plains, PA, died peacefully Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Cherry Brook Health Care Center, Canton, CT.

She was born in Cadogan PA, the daughter of the late Archangelo and Josephine (Antonia) Georgetti and the eldest of six siblings (Alfred, Nello, Robert, Rudolph and Rose), each of whom predeceased Clara. Her husband, Louis, died in 1961.

She completed two years at Plains Memorial High School and was employed at Plains Blouse Mfg. Co. for 35 years.

She is survived by her Tesori – her son Dominick and his wife Dorothy of Simsbury, CT, by two grandchildren, Laura Harrigan of Hopkinton, MA and Darren Cinti of Wayland, MA, their spouses, Brian and Libbi, and five great grandchildren (Siena and Bailey Harrigan and Piper, Tate and Georgia Cinti).

Clara will be remembered for her love and generosity, often expressed most profoundly in her Italian cooking which she lavished on everyone who came to her door. Her incredible Italian meals included dozens of recipes handed down from her mother, Nonna Pepa: literally the best pasta sauce in the world, the lightest gnocchi, her incomparably delicate lasagne, the most carefully stuffed and hand-cut ravioli and cappelletti, the most beautiful plates of antipasti, and her favorite sweets – rum cake, frappe, peanut butter chocolate cake, and apple pie. Her kitchen offered a constant parade of superlatives which will be missed but remembered fondly.

A Mass will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 9:30 am in SS. Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, pastor, officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Arrangements by the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705.

Memorial donations can be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall St. 29th Floor, New York, NY 10005. 1-888-333-2377.
