Catherine “Kitty” Mantush O’Donnell Pascucci

It is with broken hearts that we announce that Kitty, 84 of Plains Township, left this life on Tuesday evening, April 4, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on February 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn (Mantush) O’Donnell, and the granddaughter of the late Aleck and Anna Mantush.

Kitty attended James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains.

Kitty wanted to tell her family and friends that she loved them dearly. “Do not mourn my passing, but to be happy for what lies ahead, and to tell the truth, I’m kind of excited to see what lies on the other side. Besides, before you know, I’ll be seeing you all pretty soon anyway. In closing, I’d like to say God Bless You to everyone who has always been there for me.” – Love, Kitty.

She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Pascucci on September 21, 1999, sister Theresa Meinel, brothers Thomas and his spouse Dorothy, James O’Donnell and his spouse Mary Ann, and Patrick; brothers-in-law Ernest Pascucci and Alan Kornish, sister-in-law Anita Pascucci; son-in-law Dr. John Stankoski and mother-in-law Susan Pascucci.

Surviving are her children Andrew Pascucci, and his wife Gail, Forty Fort, Susan Stankoski, Wilkes-Barre; David Pascucci and his companion Lori Krawetz, Bear Creek, Cathy Parsnik and her husband Joseph, Plains Township; grandchildren, Kelly, Jordan and her spouse Abny, Davie and fiancée Nicole, Drew and his spouse Andrea, Jack and his spouse Rebecca, Katie and her spouse Melissa, Nicole, Dean, Joey and fiancée Krista, and Michael; great-grandchildren Brian, Ellis, Meadow, Lorenzo, Scarlett and Santino, brothers Joseph O’Donnell, Exeter, and William O’Donnell and his wife Nancy, Wilkes-Barre, sisters Ann Piccolo and her husband Dr. Anthony Piccolo, York, Mary Solt and her husband Kevin, Egg Harbor, NJ, brother-in-law William Meinel, FL, sister-in-law Marie (Pascucci) Kornish, Kingston, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kitty’s family would like to offer a special thank you to Medical Oncology, Kingston, and Dr. Greenwald, Dr. Amini, Dr. Martino, Dr. Blidner, Dr. Grasso, and Dr. Fasciana and the staff of Compassionate Care for the wonderful care given to their mother in her time of need.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. A live stream of the Funeral Mass will be on Saints Peter & Paul Parish FACEBOOK page. Those attending the funeral mass and burial please go directly to church Tuesday morning. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.

Memorial donations may be made to the Medical Oncology Prescription Assistance Fund, 382 Pierce Street, Kingston, PA 18704.
