Bertha V. Kozera, 100 of the North End section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday evening, July 13, 2022 at Allied Services Center City, Wilkes-Barre.

Born December 28, 1921 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Anna (Gola) Kozera.

Bertha was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1941, and was employed as a seamstress at Lehigh Manufacturing Co., and Sanford’s Manufacturing Co. for over 50 years until her retirement.

Bertha was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, North Wilkes-Barre until its closure and merger with Saints Peter & Paul Parish, Plains.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph and John Kozera, sisters Mary and Florence Kozera, Josephine Sincavage and Stella Fabrini.

Surviving are her nephew and caretaker Richard Sincavage, Larksville, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 at 9:30 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. A Live Stream of the Funeral Mass will be on Saints Peter & Paul Parish FACEBOOK page. Interment will be held in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Plains. Family and friends may call Monday morning from 8:30 am until 9:30 am at the funeral home.
