Ann M. Clemons, 85 of Plains Twp., passed away Sunday morning, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2024 at The Gardens at Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, where she had been a resident.

Born on June 6, 1938 in Plains, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence P. and Lottie B. (Murawski) Clemons, Sr.

Ann was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains, and was employed in the area dress and garment factories until her retirement. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Plains, until its closure and merger with Saints Peter & Paul Church, and the I.L.G.W.U.

Family was very important and special to Ann and she loved helping and taking care of her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Joan and Constance Clemons, and brothers Matthew and Lawrence Clemons, Jr.

 Surviving are her sisters Catherine Olowiany, Courtdale, Christine Kasper, and Rosemary Burdulis and her husband Thomas, all of Plymouth, many nieces and nephews.

Ann’s family would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff at The Gardens at Wyoming Valley for their wonderful care and compassion given to Ann these past years.

 Funeral will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 9:30 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating.  A Live stream of the funeral mass will be on the parish FACEBOOK and YouTube pages.  Interment will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plains.  Family and friends may call Wednesday morning from 8:30 am until 9:30 am at the funeral home.

 Memorial donations may be made to SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, in Ann’s name.
