Agnes (Murphy) Zuber, 84 of Plains Twp., passed away Wednesday evening, April 1, 2015 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Mary (O’Donnell) Murphy.

Aggie was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains and was employed for Luzerne News Company of Wilkes-Barre and Scranton until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Benedict Parish and formerly a member of of St. Francis Church, Miners Mills, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the Choir. Aggie was a former member of the Donegal Society of Wilkes-Barre, and the Miners Mills Senior Citizens.

Preceding Aggie in death are her Husband Walter on December 6, 1994; Brothers William, James,Joseph, Jack and Edward Murphy, Sisters, Mae Murphy and Nancy Lavelle.

Surviving are her Sister, Rosemary Brice and her Husband Thomas, Plains several Nephews and Nieces.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 9:15 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Mains Street Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Benedict’s Parish, St Dominick’s Church, 155 Austin Avenue Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plains.
