Born on April 17, 1933 in Taylor, PA, he was the son of the late Aldino L. and Mary (Gori) Pierotti, Sr. Dino grew up in Taylor, graduated from Riverside High School and from 1955 through 1958, served in the Central Intelligence Corp. of the U. When asked if he missed the restaurant business, he would always respond by saying, “I don’t miss the business, but I do miss the people.” Quite simply, he was a wonderful man. Dino was a founding Board Member of the Luzerne County Tourist Promotion Agency, a member of UNICO International and was on the Board of Directors of the former Third National Bank of Scranton. He was a member of the Advisory Committee of the Weinberg Food Bank and was the recipient of the Food Bank’s Distinguished Volunteer Award.
