Walter Buzinski, 62, of Laflin, passed away on Saturday evening, February 14, 2015 at his home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Rita (Paul) Buzinski of Wesley Village, Jenkins Township and the late Walter A. Buzinski.

Walter worked at the United Rehabilitation Services, attended Valley Crest Day Development Program, and the Plains Senior Center.

In addition to his father, Walter, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Brutkiewicz.

Walter was one of God’s special children, had a great sense of humor and no filter. Walter’s memory will be kept alive through his great one liners. He enjoyed bowling at Chacko’s Bowling Lanes with the Up and Down Bowlers, and was involved in the Special Olympics. Walter also loved attending dinner dances at the Golden Palace with other special needs friends.

Surviving in addition to his mother Rita, are brother William, and his wife Linda, Stafford Virginia, brother Greg, and his wife Edie, formerly of West Pittston, and now Whitsett , North Carolina, brother Jim, Los Angeles, California, sister, Barbara(Buzinski) Jones and her husband Gordie, Lititz, Pa., brother Paul, and his wife Jackie, New York, New York, and nine nephews and nieces.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 9:30 am in St. Nicholas Church, 226 South Washington Street Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701, with Monsignor Joseph Rauscher, pastor, officiating, along Carol Folk, minister. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church. Private family interment will be held in St. Francis Cemetery, Plains on another day. Family and friends may call Friday evening, February 20, 2015 at the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc. 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
