Virginia K. Conlon, 99 of Edwardsville, passed away Wednesday morning, February 10, 2021, at Cambridge Riverview, Larksville, where she had been a resident for the past 1 ½ years.

Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Patrick T. and Catherine (Curran) Kane.

Virginia was a graduate of Kingston High School, and College Misericordia, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She was employed as a teacher at Alfred I. DuPont High School, Wilmington Delaware, for 30 years. She was a member of The Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Kingston.

She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Conlon, Jr. on September 3, 2003, brothers James Kane and Ward Kane, sisters Joan Russ and Marilyn Evans.

Surviving are her nephews Anthony Russ, Jr. and his wife Carol, Lawrenceville, NJ, and Dr. Theodore Evans and his wife Holly, Miami, FL, nieces Theresa Turkot, Mullica Hill, NJ and Virginia Evans, Morgantown, WV.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 10:15 am at The Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, 339 North Maple Avenue, Kingston, PA 18705. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover, Twp. Those attending the Funeral Mass, please follow the practice of social distancing, and masks are required at all times at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children´s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
