Vilma E. Fabbrini, 93 of the Keystone Section of Plains Township, passed away Thursday evening, September 27, 2017, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains, after suffering a fall earlier in the week.

Born in Plains, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Elizabeth (Passeri) Gustinucci.

Vilma attended Plains Memorial High School, and was employed as a dress maker and floor lady in the area dress factories until her retirement. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin, and the I.L.G.W.U., Local 259.

Vilma loved to crochet and enjoyed making blankets for residents at area nursing homes. She made over 100 in her lifetime and was in the process of finishing a few.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Orlando “Donald” Fabbrini on March 20, 2006, and her brother Joseph Gustinucci.

Surviving are her daughter Betty Ann Kresge and her husband Willard, Bear Creek Township, granddaughters Lisa Morgans and her husband Roger, and Kim Gladey and her husband David, Great-grandchildren Gavin and Arden Morgans, and Taylor and Ross Gladey, all of Mountaintop. Vilma was affectionately called Nonnie by all of them. She is also survived by her sister Jennie Georgetti, Plains, and her brother Ernest Gustinucci, Keystone, several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin, PA 18702, with Father James Walsh, Pastor, officiating. The Parish Rosary Group will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary in the Church 30 minutes before the Mass. All are invited to attend. Private entombment will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements by the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
