Theresa M. Rogan

Theresa M. Rogan, 67 of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday morning, September 13, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on March 21, 1956, she was the daughter of Theresa (Samitis) Gallagher of Wilkes-Barre and the late Thomas J. Gallagher.

Theresa was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1974, and was employed as an insurance processor in the claims department at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, later Highmark, until her retirement.

Theresa was a fantastic cook and took great pleasure if preparing large, delicious meals for family and friends to enjoy. Her love and generosity for her children and grandchildren was unparalleled, she will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Gallagher.

Surviving in addition to her mother Theresa, are her husband of 48 years Joseph P. Rogan, Jr., Wilkes-Barre, children Amy Rogan; Erin Rogan and her fiancée John Balut; and Joseph Rogan III, all of Wilkes-Barre; Colleen Conner and her husband John, Middletown DE; seven grandchildren, brothers John Gallagher and his fiancée Melanie Holmgren, Wilkes-Barre; Joseph Gallagher and his wife Karen, Exeter; sister Sharon Brandenburg and her husband Bill, Wilkes-Barre; and several nieces and nephews. We deeply appreciate the loving support of the entire Rogan family.

Funeral Services for Theresa will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.  Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to St. Jude Children´s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Theresa’s memory.
