Steven C. Scarantino, 83 of Dunmore, passed away Friday evening, February 10, 2023 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA.

Born in Dunmore, PA, on September 18, 1939, he was the son of the late Cataldo and Josephine (Naro) Scarantino.

Steven was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was an Army Veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was employed at Tobyhanna Army Depot as an electronic repair man for 23 years, until his retirement.

He and his wife, the former Catherine Zaffino, celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary on October 31, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Sabina Perry and Mary Ann Lefferts.

Surviving in addition to his wife Catherine are his daughter Catherine Corcoran and her husband Brian, Plains, sons Steven Scarantino and his wife Alisa, and Jason Scarantino and his wife Nichole, all of Dunmore, grandchildren Steven, Brenden, Nicholas, Cheryl, Brett, Selena, and Sebastian, sister Tina Milewski, Carbondale, nieces and nephews.
